The Safety Case

Berm builds proximity detection for underground mines: a mesh of tags and transponders that warns a loader operator before a person is in the crush zone. The prototype works. The customer wants it. And the sale cannot legally happen until someone proves, with an argument that survives hostile reading, that the system is safe.
